Alabi Akinloye, PA-C
Clinical Services

Mr. Akinloye received his Physician Assistant training at Charles R. Drew University and has practiced in the Los Angeles area for the past thirteen years. His past experience has been in Interventional Cardiology, Trauma, General Surgery and Occupational Medicine. Mr. Akinloye has held staff appointments at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Martin Luther King Jr. General Hospital and with that brings to the Prometa Center a level of commitment and compassionate care for the patients entrusted to our care.

 

 

 

 


Chris Nester, BSN-RN, BA
Clinical Services

Mr. Nester received his training as a clinical nurse from Johns Hopkins University and subsequently worked in chemical dependency, psychiatry and HIV/AIDS specialties at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center. His most recent assignment before coming to The Prometa Center was with Alternatives Inc., Los Angeles, CA - a dual diagnosis unit catering to the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender population. Mr. Nester has a prior degree in psychology and strongly supports the relationship between the medical and psychosocial paradigms of care to provide the best treatment possible for the illness of addiction. At The Prometa Center, Mr. Nester works directly in both the clinical and recovery planning interventions of patient care.

 

 

 


Dylan Berkey, M.A., LMFT
Psychosocial Services

Dylan Berkey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in Addiction treatment. She earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from New College of California. She has extensive experience working with adults and adolescents suffering from a wide range of co-occurring substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.  Ms. Berkey is adept at utilizing various treatment modalities and approaches, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has successfully treated individuals, couples, families, and groups and is well-versed in Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and both 12 Step and Harm Reduction treatment philosophies. Ms. Berkey has developed and facilitated Chemical Dependency and Dual Diagnosis therapy groups and has a particular interest in the links between trauma and substance abuse.
